The New Chef On The Block

For nine months and a week my belly grew and grew until two months ago when a beautiful little baby boy came out!

(as you can see I am a great cook already!
His meals are always made perfectly on time
with the perfect temperature and flavor ;) )

Ever since that day I have been starving!!! People were not joking when they said nursing makes you hungry!  I found that just snacking continually isn't cutting it anymore. My used to be little bowl of ice cream has turned into a carton of ice cream.
My favorite is going out to eat. You ask for a dish and walla it appears. I want water in my glass and a nice lady pours some. But with a husband in medical school where every penny counts. And there is the fact that taking a crying baby out to a nice romantic relaxing restaurant is now less enjoyable. My life has made a quick left turn and the only choice is:
It is time for this stay at home mom
 to learn
the art of cooking!

For the past couple weeks I have been experimenting and have learned a little secret that has made all the difference for me: It isn't just about eating, but about the creating and the process of the meal. And you have to have music playing. Cooking is a party in my kitchen!!! I caught myself smiling when I looked at my counters and they were a mess because I had used more pots and kitchen appliances than every before!

This cute quote kind of describes how well I am doing:

"I am a fabulous cook.
Even the fire alarm is cheering me on."

Here it goes to more experimenting and yummy foods.
 I hope ;)
I wanted a place to gather my recipes, so here goes the blogging!
